PASTEL SENSATION IN TODAY'S STYLE SENSE

PASTEL has taken the fashion world by storm , come to think of it , not only do they create softness in ones approach and body language but create a peppy and light image , the spot light reflect the colors with such grace and Omph...........

One sees the emphasis of pastel not only in dark tone but light shades, being a fair person ,I see myself as more peppy and girlish in pastels, but the beautifull concept of pastels is not confined to clothes but to accessories , especially accessories , as a tip if you walk out with plain black tank top or and cream jegging , accessorize it with punk pastel ,spike jewellery , yellow shade bangels a blue or pink stole and adding to it a brign yellow pumps , it is surely gonna turn a lot of heads .

Pastel Accessories : Spice up that plain look with footwear which matches the pastel shades postman purse or lady like even tote which is heavily in demand in today's market.

Cost : the pastels are much more affordable compared to the gems stone or junk jewellery, just dont land up in shops like HNM for dubaites , it would be places like MAX, Centerpoint , Splash , the discount season is solving the sole purpose for Fashionestazzz. to GLAM.

Ultimate for parties , evening dinners and not to mention office as well.

Its GWEN ESTAFN Inspired style.........not to forget if pastel glam is not your cup of team , how could you resist yourself from cosmetics, latest in the market is REVLON (Blam stain ) you could sharpen this mama like a pencil and it gives a perfectly juicy effect to your oh so sultry lips.

My favourite are pastel dresses, you can accessorize them with a formal marine suit to create  a smart ensemble

A big NO NO is patterned pastel , do not go for extreme big pattern Tibet , floral or geometric prints the whole cause of pastel is lost .

And last but not the least beautiful pastel footwear
I am a huge fan of the nude sandals, difficult to find since they always run out of stock , a peep toe is the ultimate .

NAIL POLISHES : these babies are ruling my world, you know they say a man is recognised by the footwear he wears well for a women it for the nailpolish she glams up with .

These beauties will shape your personalities , it recommended that you choose light colors for dark color blended as per your skin tone and avoid black its SAD .

Always experiment with tint of blue , purple , pink and cream , you'll love the dolly comments and your girlfriends wont resist them ofcourse with JEALOUSY .

Catch all of you guyz with some more fashion forward updates.

Principles of Design

There is a clear cut definition in life about everything be it the festivities which we celebrate in our Hindi culture , be it capital punishment , be it social media gimic applied to International brands , each and every thing surrounds around a theory , a principle . Now most of us either master it and use it as per our benefit or some of use it a norm to control mistakes .

How you follow you principles is all defined in your beauty to create , creativity is the food , waiting to be discovered.

Which bring me to my today's post , Style , fashion , whatever your are in for , all have to follow certain basic principles , the basic being  the following :

Balance : a simple theory a balance of weight to gravity , a balance of black to white , just like that a balance is required to create a garment , even an asymmetrical dress has balance . few examples of balance in dresses and art decor is as follows:

perfect balance between the right and left , keyhole neckline aligned right in the center and leave pattern perfectly fitted to the neckline.

This bring us to another classification in balance , what we see above is formal balance , now lets have a look at informal balance , draped sleeves , one sided shoulder dress , perfect informal balance . it works great on evening gowns, ball nights and any party wear.

Not recommended for formal because , lets be honest formal is all about perfectionism , which is obviously a hoax in today's so called competitive world.

Moving forward to another principle in design :

Contrast , contrast of colors, lines , shapes  , the best example is this black and white piece of sheer bliss.
Not only is the designer playing with colors but with the texture of the dress , starting from the bust to the torso and ending at the naval is the plain pleasted polyester slash viscose fabric and down is the texture of layers with tier cut skirt .

Now who doesn't like attention and detailing , this brings us to the third principle of design which is Emphasis : I know this is not the most beautiful piece of garment but it is self explanatory when it comes to this principle, see the beauty or the attraction of the whole garment is only dependent on the design which is the emphasis , now looking at the picture this is what we can tell ,some more of them of the examples are intact as well.

Following the sound of music is the fourth principle which is rhythm: yes yes, there are music rhythm and simultaneously , it is adapted in clothes for example : the gradient effect of the black horizontal lines fading away in the full sleeves top.

Proceeding forward is the perfect harmony of the garment now a perfect example of it is our Indian wear sarees, or heavy embelishhed jewellery with paisley or animal prints like in counting keeping up with the rhythm and creating harmony like illustrating the story of the piece of art.

The next one is similar to Rhythem but different in its approach mainly applied to Tshirt or street wear prints. Movement , any kind of pattern which forces the cornea of your eye to blink back and concentrate on the print.

As much as it is important for your garment to have style it needs a story and also uniformity where our next principle applied, Proportion :

This is a perfect example of proportion , the body is centrally aligned the belt is placed right in the proportionate centralization of the body and the top sleeves as well as the bottom are rolled to the exact measurement. Smart look and yet comfortable and you can survive on it the whole day .

This is an example of Random pattern , the neckline is proportionate yet neatly tied to a not of the side with right end  containing a ruching which gathers the fabric to either left or right end.
even the bottom of the dress is a random cut end at the edge giving a feel of an asymmetrical dress

Coming to our third last principle which is repetition : repeat designs or alphabets or any kind of print which is really pleasing one of the most famous is liberty prints such as small floral designs or gemotrical figures repeated in a garment.

This bring me to the last on Unity or Harmony or you can call it variety , its like packing everything together in one.

So here we are with the principles of design , up next theme based discussion , please comment and view the blog , all kind of comments are welcomed. Not to forget please few the facebook page and like it .

Important Style Lines in Garments

Hey Ladies,

Before joining a merchandising batch , like every layman , stylines just meant normal way of styling  for me . But an added advantage of going to a fashion school definitely pumps you up with lots to experiment with . I had this very vivid terminology to styling , which meant just sandwitch all what you have an recreate something , which is partially wrong and partially not wrong . But it ain't right.

So here is the forthcoming Gyan which many of you would feel, Hey i know this , what the big deal but believe me concentration on these style lines will actually assure you whether your creation is a hit or not .

Center Line , which divides your whole body into two halves , centralisation is very important for those who are aspiring to be stylist , freelancing or merchandising or whatever it is you wanna recreate in fashion , home decor or interiors , this is the most important aspect .

Narrowing it down to Necklines: A neckline , begins from the end of your neck to the connectivity of your shoulders . these days assymetrical patterns n styles are adapted to neckline which do not have a centralisation such as single shoulder or a mix of decolletage or v neck etc. Will get into the intricacies of each neckline in the next post .
Shoulder Lines :  Many ladies have a wrong idea that a bust and the bottom is the most attractive asset but from my observation a collar bone drives every man wild , which is were we talk about necklines, now if you have a very broad shoulders and plump body , a square neck with cape sleeves would do miracles, it all depends on the proportion of your body . there is no said rule defining an apple from a pear , depends on the curves of each body type . Highly recommend to give more importance to your shoulder line when your carrying an evening dress an off shoulder top or bandage dress. Women with twitched shoulders can wear fluffy and puffy sleeves or even batman sleeves to give more volume .

Bust Lines :  This does not need any introduction , just ensure when ever your wearing any kind of an outfit , your wearing the right kind of bra to go along with it . say for example U neck top , do not think about a push up bra . a simple racer back with transperent sleeves would do the trick or a boat neck line , you could go with a strapless bra or regular bra with neud color .

Waist Lines:  normally its said that the waist line is defined at the naval but it's actually at an area where your body mass it the smallest , it all depends on the length of your torso , there is no variation to the best or the worst torso , it all depends on your workout regime .

Hip Line :   Hips line are define between the waist and the beginning of the hip area . basically where your skirt or jean rests upon . so whenever taking the measurement of your waist do not mistaken it with the hip line .

Three most important lines which define the perspective  of your silhouette .
It's spell as ( sil - ho - ate) , basically a shape of a body image .

1) Side back lines - the lines used for defining each body part , incporating all the style lines mentioned above
2) Princess Front lines - these a placed right from the center of your shoulder passing through the center of your chest .
3) Empire lines - defining the beginging of your waiste to the naval length .

These style line are very helpful for sketch work as well as construction of your own garments  or re-engineering of your used clothes for the purpose of apparel or decor piece .

Hope you guyz liked the new post on style line and will thank you for the comment on previous post , have tried to incorporate as many changes , ofcourse there is no end to trying to achieve perfection , please feel free to comment , next post is going to be on the principles and elements of design , very helpful for merchandising and designing fanatics .

Fashion in today's world

Fashion needless to say is a societal bug , which has infected each and everyone and many at time , we do copy or immitate it , AKA get inspired by it , observation over the time had shown that Fashion is a fad ( short term) and Style last for ages ( its ageless) . In my opinion , anything which drives you nerves to look good is style , anything recurring is style and anything infecting others to immitate is style , these days quiet famous . Irrespective of gender, cultural aspects, demographic and economical influences , Fashion is classified in to  two four categories :

1) Haute Couture

2) Pret-a-port

3) Off the rack

4) Custom Made

Haute Couture well known among the fashionesta's are original styles , opulent and Royal example , Lagerfield, Sabyasachi etc.

Pret-a-port is famous among the masses but mainly catered to mid and high class , many of the fashion in pret- a-port are inspired by forecast from St. Tropez.

Off the rack are just usual displays of clothes in deparmtnet or general stores .

Custome made are - tailor made .

Styles do not have any classification , it all depends on ones mood, nature , experimental level and zest .

I have created a page in Facebook which ponders more upon the visuals and definitions on style lines . Please visit and like it , also any kind of comments are most welcome.
